PM: Russian govt to focus aid on ag, carmakers, house building ‘16
GORKI, Moscow Region, Dec 22 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will postpone some anti-crisis steps scheduled for 2015 to 2016 and will focus on help to car manufacturers, agriculture, house building and consumer goods production, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting of the government Tuesday.
“We have not managed to carry out all of what we were discussing and conceiving this year, a part of the measures will pass to next year and a part of them is recurrent even,” Medvedev said.
The amount of support will depend on the state revenue, he said. “As regards how we will make decisions in general, what plans we will accept or will correct – naturally, depending on how events will unfold, depending on what will be our income.”
Medvedev said that the 2015 anti-crisis plan significantly neutralized the negative impact of foreign factors on the Russian economy. The plan produced “certain results” despite the continuation of low oil prices and anti-Russian sanctions prolongation, he said. The measures helped the most vulnerable sectors, he said.
